GeoSurvey Systems is a sales and
multi-service geophysical consulting and contract company offering survey
products and instruments, custom systems engineering and integration, survey
applications consulting, energy sources and sensors for the geo-engineering,
environmental, and oil and gas exploration industries worldwide.
Geophysical Survey Services
The company offers a wide range of geophysical and geologic services to the
petroleum, minerals, engineering, and environmental industries. Services include
survey design, planning, and management, seismic refraction and reflection data
acquisition, shallow water acoustic sub-bottom profiling, resistivity sounding
and profiling, ground penetrating radar, EM and Magnetometer imaging, borehole
logging, and other special application services.
General services include, but are not limited to, geologic and geophysical
modeling for surveys in areas with complex geologic targets for petroleum and
minerals exploration, shallow utilities location services, environmental
investigations to map subsurface contaminants or locate buried objects,
archeological investigations, and groundwater/hydrogeologic studies.
Geophysical Systems Integration
Specializing in the assembly, integration, and installation of land and marine
based seismic/acoustic data acquisition systems, including data recording
instruments, energy source systems (land and marine), GPS instruments,
navigation, seismic streamers, geophones, cables, and more....
Design and Engineering Consulting
Consulting for design and production of special application geophysical
instruments, including energy sources, and sensor systems.
Special Geophysical Products Development
Contract consulting for product development and selection, specializing in
slim-line borehole survey systems, acoustic sensors and seismic detection
systems, and high-resolution seismic energy sources for marine and land
applications.
In cooperation with Rum River, Inc, the company also provides custom built
Digipulse land seismic source systems.
Seismic Systems
For high-resolution 2D and 3D shallow marine or land seismic surveys, GeoSurvey
Systems works with clients to determine instrument system specifications and
requirements based on survey objectives and environmental conditions. Systems
include seismic data acquisition and recording equipment, PC based navigation
and field processing systems, air guns and compressors, seismic sensors
equipment, sources, and more....Using this information, seismic systems are
designed and assembled using only the best and most economical components and
equipment from various geophysical instruments and product manufacturers. All
system components are carefully evaluated and selected on the basis of
performance, reliability, and operation for specific survey applications. The
final systems integration process may require simple assembly and installation,
or some additional custom design and engineering work. Whether it is a complete
field seismic system, or a special sub-system that needs to fit with existing
equipment, GeoSurvey Systems can find, or design and build the tools and
instruments.
Seismic Borehole Survey Systems
For borehole seismic surveys, GeoSurvey Systems specializes in the design and
manufacture of ultra slimline single and multi-station borehole receiver systems
for shallow and deep borehole surveys. Various designs are already available
with tool diameter sizes ranging from 1.25 inches to 2 inches, for operation in
high temperature and pressure conditions. For greater channel capacity GSS has
developed 48 channel 3-component borehole receiver systems designed for
permanent installation with seismic monitoring and reservoir characterization
surveys. All receiver systems can be provided with or without the surface data
acquisition equipment and winch systems. Existing surface equipment can be
modified and integrated with GSS borehole tools. Development and design
capabilities include integration of both analog and digital telemetry data
transmission circuits, surface power distribution systems, fluxgate compass and
gyro azimuth orientation components.
GeoSurvey Systems is a Master Distributor and co-developer of Digipulse
Accelerated Weight Drop (AWD) seismic sources. Source systems with 100 lbs to
2,000 lbs are available with installation on trucks, tractors, trailers and
large or small track vehicles depending on terrain and environmental conditions.
GeoSurvey Systems can configure an AWD source system for installation on almost
any type of vehicle. Sources systems include the Digipulse Pelton Radio Trigger
System, which is designed for use with any portable seismograph system, the I/O
System II and Sercel 388/408UL seismic acquisition systems. Recently completed
is the design of a nitrogen gas charged system that increases the energy output.
